Alberto Franchetti

Alberto Franchetti was born in Turin on 18 September 1860 and established himself as an Italian composer, belonging to the verista school. He was also an exponent of the so-called Young School, the generation of Italian musicians active between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
He spent the last years of his life in Viareggio, where he died on 4 August 1942.
